Annual house price growth gathers momentum in September as housing market recovery continues
Nationwide's latest house price index report shows the housing market has rebounded well 'post lockdown'. Pent up demand is coming through and the stamp duty holiday is further increasing activity, as people bring forward their purchases.
Report Highlights:
Annual price growth picked up to 5.0% in September, the highest rate since Sep 2016
Prices rose 0.9% month-on-month, after taking account of seasonal factors
